At the heart of the Aviator 8 Unitime is Breitling's Manufacture Caliber B35, a COSC-certified automatic world-time movement developed specifically with international travel in mind. Rather than simply adding another GMT hand, the B35 incorporates an independently adjustable local hour hand along with a world-time display.
When changing time zones, the local hour can be adjusted independently through the crown while the world-time system remains coordinated. It's an exceptionally clever mechanical complication that becomes much more impressive once you actually operate it.
The B35 also provides approximately 70 hours of power reserve, runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour and contains 41 jewels. The movement can be viewed through the sapphire exhibition caseback. Breitling
