Breitling Superocean Heritage II B20 Automatic 42 – Stratus Silver Dial – Full Set
There are watches that photograph well, and then there are watches that seem to change every time the light hits them. This Breitling Superocean Heritage II is the latter.
Finished with the less commonly seen Stratus Silver dial against a black ceramic bezel, this 42mm Superocean Heritage II has a clean, almost monochromatic look that can shift from bright silver to warm champagne depending on the light. Paired with Breitling’s polished Ocean Classic mesh bracelet, it strikes a great balance between vintage-inspired dive watch and modern luxury sports watch.
At the heart of the watch is the Breitling Manufacture Caliber B20 automatic movement, developed from Tudor’s MT5612 architecture. It is COSC-certified and offers an approximately 70-hour power reserve.
The Avera Take
The Superocean Heritage has always been one of our favorite Breitling designs because it doesn’t try too hard. It’s unmistakably a dive watch, but without the oversized numerals, busy dial or overly technical appearance found on many modern divers.
This particular configuration is what caught our attention. Most Superocean Heritage IIs you’ll encounter are black or blue dial examples. The Stratus Silver dial paired with the black ceramic bezel is considerably less common, and in person it works exceptionally well. Add the Ocean Classic mesh bracelet and this is exactly how we’d want one configured.
At 42mm, it also hits a sweet spot. It has enough wrist presence to feel like a Breitling without becoming overwhelming.
